EV Charging for Hotels
Give guests a reliable place to charge overnight without adding work for your front-of-house team. LetsVolt installs and operates guest-paid EV charging for hotels, inns and guest houses, with secure QR-code payments, clear usage reporting and full day-to-day management.
Why hotels are adding EV charging
- Guests increasingly filter accommodation by EV charging
- Charging supports longer stays and destination bookings
- Overnight dwell time suits how hotel charging is used
- Charging becomes a visible part of your amenity list
- Corporate and event guests often arrive in electric vehicles
Why ad-hoc arrangements don't scale for hotels
- Reception ends up handling charging requests manually
- Domestic sockets and extension leads are unsafe in car parks
- No way to recover electricity costs fairly per guest
- Multiple guests competing for one informal charging point
- No usage records for accounting or reporting
How guest-paid QR-code charging works in a hotel
Guests handle the payment themselves, so your team isn't drawn into charging admin.
- 1
Guests plug in
Guests use the charging bay in your car park with their own Type 2 cable.
- 2
Guests scan the QR code
The code sits on or beside the charger, with clear instructions.
- 3
Guests pay securely
Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. No app, no membership, no reception queue.
- 4
Charging starts
Charging begins once payment is confirmed and guests pay for the energy they use.
Nothing for reception to manage
Guests don't need a key, a fob or an app. Charging is self-service from their phone camera and card, so your team stays focused on guests.
Installed to commercial standard
Hotel EV charger installation is completed by qualified EV installers and scheduled around your occupancy, with LetsVolt configuring the payment setup afterwards.
Reporting you can actually use
Session-level usage tracking, monthly reporting and a defined support route for guests, all handled by LetsVolt.

Where hotels fit in the pilot
The initial pilot is focused on the Peak District, selecting 1–3 founding sites. Hotels, inns and destination businesses can register their interest now for the next phase of rollout. Acceptance is not guaranteed and is subject to a suitability check.
All installations are subject to site survey and suitability checks. Suitability depends on car park layout, parking allocation and available electrical supply.
